President

Jeff Masek

I am a professional engineer with over 25 years’ experience in the public sector. A Texas A&M University graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. I spent the first half of his career with TxDOT’s Houston District managing consultant’s design projects, performing project inspection, and designing projects. After TxDOT, I transitioned to construction management with Houston Public Works becoming a Certified Construction Manager. My last role at the City of Houston was Assistant Director for the Facilities Delivery Line in Capital Projects of Houston Public Works utilizing a “cradle to grave” approach to delivering projects to its customers.

I now lead the water/wastewater team in the Houston region for AECOM. Seeking to assist/solve owner’s challenges in the area.

Honored to be the CMAA-Houston Chapter president.

Vice-President

Hosney Abdelgelil

With over 30 years of "boots-on-the-ground" experience, I bridge the gap between rigorous academic research and large-scale project execution. My journey began as a junior structural design engineer, but my career has been defined by a transition from calculating loads to leading people and pioneering technological innovation.

As the Regional Director for WSP, I lead with a dual focus: delivering infrastructure excellence across Texas and Louisiana while cultivating the next wave of industry leaders. As a proud Aggie researcher, I leverage my PhD on-going work to ensure our methods are not just traditional, but future-ready.

Since 2020, I have been honored to serve the CMAA Greater Houston Chapter, working alongside colleagues-in-arms to drive unprecedented regional growth. My mission is centered on four pillars: Organizational Growth: Supporting member firms in scaling their impact, Mentorship: Guiding junior CMs from the field to the boardroom, Technological Advocacy: Training professionals to embrace innovation, and Strategic Networking: Building the relationships that generate high-quality referrals and cross-state partnerships.

I am dedicated to unlocking new opportunities for career advancement and superior client service across the Lone Star State. Our industry is my lifelong passion; building its future is my mission.
